After a quick hello to Jack and Alice, we headed west to a lovely ridgetop camp at Redbank gorge. It was great to spend a few days, with amazing weather, seeing the gorge (with icy swims) climbing Rwetyepme (pronounced roo-choop-ma) aka Mt Sonder We spent a fair bit of time reading books and sleeping too. Feeling very relaxed already

We've left the farm in the capable hands of Meisha and, after a visit with family in Adelaide, are heading north. Here's our first desert camp - somewhere near Coober Pedy Our trusty farm ute has been set up as an off-road tourer again. This time with a basic plywood box for for a kitchen and storage with a rooftop tent. There's also a big awning on the kitchen side which we didn't need to open as we rolled in late and left early morning to do big kms to get to Alice Springs.
