Hello again El Questro

We've made it to El Questro to see Noah, who's working here as a helicopter pilot. He dropped in at our beautiful private campsite (not in the helicopter) and took us to pigeonhole lookout for sunset. 




Today, we spent several hours in Amalia gorge - walking, swimming, eating lunch and reading books. Beautiful weather!!

Heading north

We've left the farm in the capable hands of Meisha and, after a visit with family in Adelaide, are heading north. Here's our first desert camp - somewhere near Coober Pedy Our trusty farm ute has been set up as an off-road tourer again. This time with a basic plywood box for for a kitchen and storage with a rooftop tent. There's also a big awning on the kitchen side which we didn't need to open as we rolled in late and left early morning to do big kms to get to Alice Springs.

What a day!

Noah had a day off and there was a spare helicopter so he chartered it and took us out for the day. Flying time =$ so he planned the best route for the shortest amount of flying time. It was truly amazing and we felt so lucky. So here's a big dump of photos. 1st Miri Miri falls     Then Splendid  Thanks Noah, you made us feel really safe onboard and gave us one of the best experiences we've ever had! Flying back over what we'd just explored for the last few hours was incredible
